Some early symptoms of liver cancer
Article Author:admin Category:Early Detection Reading:123
1. Fever
A considerable part of liver cancer patients will experience sweating and fever. Most fevers are moderate to low-grade fevers, and a small number of patients may have high fevers, which are generally not accompanied by chills at temperatures above 39°C. The fever of liver cancer is mostly cancerous fever, which is caused by the release of pyrogens into human blood circulation after tumor tissue necrosis. Tumor patients are prone to infections due to low resistance, and may also have fever. It is sometimes difficult to distinguish from cancerous fever of liver cancer. It is necessary to combine the blood picture and observe whether the antibacterial treatment is effective to determine.

2. Jaundice, itchy skin
Jaundice and itchy skin are common symptoms of liver cancer. About 1/3 of the cases have jaundice during the onset. The cause of jaundice is that the cancer invades the main bile ducts in the liver, and the metastatic carcinoma of the hilar lymph nodes oppresses the extrahepatic bile ducts. Among the symptoms of liver cancer, ascites is often caused by the patient's original liver cirrhosis, cancer tissues invade the veins and form tumor thrombi, and cancer nodules compress the portal vein.

3. Edema of lower extremities
Patients with liver cancer with ascites often have lower extremity edema. In mild cases, it occurs in the ankles, and in severe cases, it can spread to the entire lower extremities. It has been clinically seen that some patients have high levels of edema in the lower limbs, and water can leak from the skin of the thigh. The main cause of lower extremity edema is that ascites oppresses the veins of the lower extremities or cancer thrombus obstructs the venous return. Mild edema can also be caused by low plasma albumin.

4. Bleeding tendency
Patients with liver cancer often have bleeding tendency such as gum bleeding and subcutaneous ecchymosis, which are mainly caused by impaired liver function and abnormal blood coagulation. It is especially common in patients with liver cancer and liver cirrhosis. Gastrointestinal bleeding is more common, mainly due to portal hypertension leading to esophageal and gastric varices. In fact, gastrointestinal bleeding is also the leading cause of death in patients with liver cancer.
