How can cancer patients survive painlessly

1. Early detection and early treatment
The cause of pain in cancer patients is mostly caused by tumor growth or metastasis directly invading or oppressing the sensory nerves in the surrounding tissues. Therefore, if cancer patients are painless, the best way is to detect and treat early to treat the cancer. Destroyed in the bud, making it painless. Secondly, for those patients who are currently unable to achieve early diagnosis, or who are in the middle or advanced stage at the time of discovery, the treatment of their cancer itself cannot be given up. Experience has shown that active treatment of such patients with various measures including surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and local treatment can also significantly relieve the pain of the patient and improve their quality of life.

2. Actively choose drugs to relieve pain
Drug pain relief is mainly suitable for cancer pain patients who are unable to actively treat the tumor itself for various reasons or whose pain still exists after treatment. In order to effectively help such patients to relieve pain, WHO advocated its promotion on a global scale as early as 1986. After nearly 20 years of practice and improvement, the safety, effectiveness, simplicity and feasibility of this method have been widely recognized by experts from all over the world. A large number of studies have shown that the correct application of this method can continuously and effectively eliminate pain, reduce adverse drug reactions, reduce the psychological burden of cancer patients due to pain and treatment, and maximize their quality of life. As the three-step analgesic method is still not popular in our country, many cancer pain patients are still receiving irregular treatment and suffering from it. Therefore, the publicity and promotion of this therapy should be actively increased.

3. Pay attention to psychotherapy to relieve the mental burden of patients
Studies have shown that social, psychological, spiritual, cultural and other factors have a significant impact on the pain degree of cancer pain patients. Social discrimination, relatives’ disgust, psychological loneliness and other bad emotions can aggravate the pain, while caring, comforting, and comforting patients. The patient's own optimistic spirit helps to break the vicious circle of pain and reduce pain. Therefore, in addition to all sectors of society should pay attention to creating a relaxed and enthusiastic atmosphere for cancer pain patients, so that patients can integrate into society like normal people: patients themselves should also try to overcome loneliness, despair and other bad emotions, and actively participate in various community activities. Try to do something within our power for the family and society, so that the joy of participation and dedication can resolve physical pain.

4. Pay attention to combination medication
Cancer pain patients can combine the above-mentioned analgesics at all levels according to their needs (it should be noted that drugs of the same level are generally not combined), or combine them with other auxiliary drugs that can enhance their analgesic effects. Studies have shown that the appropriate combination of drugs can significantly enhance the analgesic effect and delay the time for drug upgrades. In addition to antidepressants, commonly used auxiliary drugs include Valium and Oryzanol. For the pain caused by brain and spinal cord tumors, combined with hormonal drugs such as prednisone or flumetasone can enhance the analgesic effect: the new anticonvulsant gabapentin, the antiepileptic drug lamotrigine and the old drug carbamazepine, Slow heart rhythm, amantadine, etc. also have good analgesic effects on pathological neuralgia caused by cancer (such as trigeminal neuralgia caused by tumor or postoperative neuralgia) and cancer pain syndrome, etc., and can be used as auxiliary drugs for such patients .

5. Other matters needing attention
①Morphine, fentanyl, etc. have obvious effects of dilating cerebral blood vessels, so they are generally contraindicated in patients with intracranial tumors.
②Long-term use of dihydroetofi can cause obvious mental and physical dependence, and cannot be used for conventional treatment of cancer pain.
③There is no need to be afraid or unwilling to use opioids for fear of cancer patients' addiction. The so-called addiction refers to the mental or physical dependence of patients on drugs. A large number of studies have shown that cancer patients rarely experience mental dependence after standardized use of opioids for pain relief (the incidence is less than 4/10,000): although patients are in After long-term large-scale use of drugs, physiological dependence and increased tolerance may occur, but most experts believe that this is a normal pharmacological phenomenon and should not affect the choice of drugs, nor should it cause patients to endure pain. Therefore, as long as the patient needs analgesia, it must be actively used. Practice has also proved that most cancer patients can stop opioid analgesics at any time after the cause of pain is under control and after the pain is eliminated: for long-term large-scale drug users, the gradual reduction method is used to stop the drug, and there are few accidents.
④ The goal of treatment for cancer pain should be to completely eliminate pain as much as possible and improve the quality of life of patients. Allowing cancer patients to sleep without pain should be the lowest goal of treatment. The ideal goal should be to allow patients to rest, move, and work in a painless condition, and not just be satisfied with partial relief of pain.
⑤ When choosing drugs, try to choose sustained-release dosage forms with less side effects, simple medication, and long action time. If economic conditions permit, Fenbid, Chimandin, Duo Ruiji, Mexconidine, etc. should be preferred. At the same time, attention should be paid to the toxicity and side effects of the drugs and deal with them in time.
